A white, mild, pressed curd cheese. This cheese was traditionally drained and pressed in bread baskets, "canastas de pan", hence the name panela. Our Panela Fresca retains this beautiful traditional appearance. Like the Queso Fresco, it will not melt when heated. Try it sliced on a torta or fried and paired with a spicy homemade salsa!
