Prepare following the directions
for regular Tostadas, but leave out the chicken
or beef. You can add extra beans or extra avocados.
The best way? Add extra cheese!
Another alternative: Mash
a ripe avocado using a fork. On each tostada
shell, spread a layer of the avocado. Top
with lettuce, tomato, onion, Crema Mexicana
or Crema Salvadoreña, and crumbled
Queso Fresco or Cuajada Fresca (lots of
it!). Serve with pickled jalapeño
or serrano peppers or a spicy Mexican salsa.
